Sticks and Stones

sticks-and-stonesSticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me.

That’s the line, that’s what I’ve been taught all my life. I guess you’re supposed to just brush it off and be grateful they aren’t stoning you, right?

How about when you are called a cracker?

How about being called mayonnaise face?

How about skinny feminist shitlord? Someone googled this and found my blog. Good times.

Here’s a good one:

Violent White Supremacist

Being called a violent white supremacist was the highlight of my week. The. F*cking. Highlight.

Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will NEVER hurt me.

Mayo face says haaaaaaay!

  1. It seems there really are people who think they are obligated to be un-creatively nasty on social media (Mayonnaise Face????), without actually reading a whole post. Well, we’ll see what they do with this one. Stay tough Skinny One. ❤

  2. I have been called plenty of names in my time but shitlord? I am envious. Maybe you should see if JJ Abrams can add that title into the next Star Wars opus. Good times….thanks for the laugh- Mayo face, which is probably only slightly better than butterface. WTF?

  3. Whoever made up that saying was demented. Words sting longer and harder than any smack! 🙂 ( PS Weirdpress isn’t letting me post to blogs, isn’t that sweet? I’m trying to post here through another means. If it gets through, I most likely won’t receive a reply to any responses:( )

  4. The insults people can come up with never cease to amaze me. But call the insulter a name and suddenly “it’s not fair.” If it’s good for the Mayo, then the other party has to Mustard up the courage to take it when they’re slathered with a retort . 🙂

  5. Mayo Face: it means you’re not only likeable, but lickable!

    :?P

It’s decidedly better than being called pizza-face, even though pizza tastes better.

mayo-face – more face, less taste! lol

unless you’re Charlie the tuna, of course

    :?D

  6. Hi, I just found your blog via Opinionated Man.. and it looks really interesting. Though I am baffled- ‘mayonnaise face’?? Is that a thing? And who did this racism come from? I’ve never experienced racism, but my boyfriend is of Bangladeshi background, and has been called horrible names a couple of times. Makes me sick and sad to think about it- people can be so fricking DUMB. Anyway, thanks for sharing 🙂
