There are so many things I would never have done if not for my children. We were talking today about holiday cartoons and I realized how lucky I am that I was able to extend my childhood through my kids. Not only that, since they were little boys, I was able to see everything from a whole new perspective. Fricking magical, am I right?
I would never have gone to see the Lion King if not for my six-year-old. What a beautiful movie, I’m so glad I went! By the way, some guy tried to pick me up by asking my kid if I was single, nice guy, eh?
Toy Story, all the new Star Wars, XMen, Jurassic Park and so many other movies I saw in the theatre; I would have never gone to any of these movies.
If not for my children, I wouldn’t have an Xbox, I would never have had a Playstation, I would have never played video games after 1984. Video games are a fantastic way to waste time and get rid of some frustrations.
If not for my children, I would have never stepped on a lego. I would have never seen the wonder in their eyes when they see butterflies or really, just the simplest, yet most amazing things.
If not for my children, I would think this was a pretty horrible world, I’ve forgotten some of the small things. Show your kid something beautiful and remember how awesome life can be.
PS then again, if not for my kid, I wouldn’t have bashed some old guy in the nuts with a bag of cans. You win some, you lose some.
